Woke up at 4am in the morning after worrying like crazy at night.. Sigh. Yiling tried to queue for me the previous night (they started queuing at 10PM and there's this person going around organising the hordes of people, issuing queue numbers.) but she couldn't, cause only those present at the queue at the time could be in the list. & my mum didn't allow me to stay over outside ):

Found YL, joined them and they're rather in front! Yiling's number is 216 :D haha!

Because I don't have a queue number, I left them to join two other fangirls in the same predicament as me (friends in the queue, didn't have a number..). They are Carmen and Venetia! Two years younger than me. Sigh, and they were like "Aiya don't worry, you'll grow out of your fangirlism in two more years' time."

We tried many ways, joining the official queue before giving up after a while and waiting at the entrance to the roof garden.

I was originally at the glass here. This is the clearest shot i could get of the stage area ): So close, right? The stage was just at the right! But the bloody glass is covered by this irritating translucent film. Damnnit! Yiling saw me (she's outside, in the official queue) and waved happily haha!

Moved away from the glass cause some girl squeezed herself into my spot and i got edged to stand behind her. Super sian it's damn hot up here cause of all the bodies squeezing together.

Left to eat KFC after a while hahaha! I was so hungry that I had a slight headache. People were like damn surprised that we are going down instead of staying there hahah! Then later, at the encouragements of Yiling, we went back up cause according to her, apparently the security guard promised to let some fans in. By the time we got up, the crowd was out of proportions. If it gets violent, people might even fall off the escalator..

What i was worried about the whole time.. Sigh cause of the presence of little kids. I'm not being mean or anything but their height puts them at a disadvantage please. Should the crowd get crazy and start the usual pushing and shoving (WHICH HAPPENED LATER), they're gonna be in danger of getting suffocated. It happened at Fahrenheit's fan sign last time (awful taste i had in the past LOL).

While we were suffering inside, this is what happened outside! Lucky! ):

Actually I didn't even know when they entered. Cause of the translucent film covering the glass ): I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THEY WERE A TABLE. Allow me to explain -__-

When they came out (the screaming increased tenfold) and I was super irritated in the middle of the crowd in the inside. All i saw was that a white rectangular shape had appeared on the blurry stage and I kept screaming "Scream for what, it's only a table only what right?"

Turns out, after looking at the photos YL and her friends took, the 'white rectangular shape' was actually Shinee standing in a row. Omfg hahahaha i made an utter fool of myself.

Anyway the bloody security guards are gross. Hate them! There's got to be better crowd control than such.. unfeeling dipshits. We have to keep quiet or they'll close off the doors to the Roof Garden (and nothing could be seen and heard should they do so), and also, this would cut off the supply of fresh air into the crowded area (read from forums). And they were the ones who baited us with false promises of "If you all behave, we'll let you all in later."

Me & my new friends left after waiting till 2PM. Cause we're just wasting time being pushed and shoved by the people at the back. Read from some place that those who stayed till the end were allowed in, albeit with a cruel twist. The guards opened the doors finally, allowing the hordes of girls to rush in with their cameras snapping away furiously.. at the empty roof garden. Then they were like crying/collapsing onto the ground while that bloody guard laughed his ass off. I can perfectly imagine him doing that, cause he's the one who kept taunting us with the opening and shutting of doors.

Unable to see them at all, but I made two new friends! (: We left to sit at the library to cool off. teehee!

Yiling and her friends were damn nice, telling me the accounts of what had went on inside (including Minho's "Why you cry? Don't cry ):" at a fan) and showing me all the photos they took of SHINee :D :D Key was like obsessed with his fringe cause nearly all the photos I saw had him touching his fringe. Hehe cute lahhhhh. & they passed me Key's autographed album for me to spazz over!

Yes I kept touching the shiny ink while thinking "Key wrote this, Key wrote this!" :X

I admit I was really sad but my new friends (despite being tons younger) shook some sense into me. Teehee. Carmen kept comparing the $60 Year Of Us album of SHINee to Big Bang's - "What, $60 for 6 songs which are not even good; I just paid $20 for Taeyang's album to be shipped to me and it comes in leather/canvas and there's a photobook of Taeyang in front with him SHIRTLESSSSSSSS!!" They made me feel tons better hahahah! Yeah I'm not coming from a family which burns money for a living so I should be more thoughtful with my spending (heck, i've spent like $30 on printing their photos and buying misc items for their present which is still.. UNCOMPLETED.)

But $60 to see them close up is like WAH! ):

2nd Feb

Went to esplanade with Carmen, SH and Jolene! Actually them 3 are eating Sakae when i joined them randomly (cause my tutee cancelled on me). They then decided to be nice and accompany me to Esplanade! To chase after Key! HAHAHAHHA! Omg esp SH is a guy omg!

But before we reached SH left to accompany his GF! hahaha so me, Carmen and Jolene went to Esplanade instead. And waited. And waited.

GUESS WHAT I SAW OMG! I SAW MY KOREAN TRIP-EYECANDY'S YOUNGER SISTER! HAHAH! Omg i was like staring at her. Hey girl I've been hoping and hoping to bump into your older brother since our trip please. Hahaha!

Anyway Carmen left early cause she had to go meet a friend, and it's only Jolene and me. And we were kinda pointlessly waiting haha! That night, there were 2 flights to Seoul: 1040PM and 1045PM. So basically they had to be on one of them. Us fans kept waiting at the backstage door of Esplanade and yes, no SHINee.. Till like 10PM there's only four of us fans cause the other fans decided to go to the airport already.

The orchestra members kept coming out of the door and there's this awesomely hot guy please! He's like all quiet, tall and super goodlooking (HAHA EH I asked the other two fans "Eh actually that guy is like quite good looking too right?" and all of us beamed happily.) But we thought he's Korean so we decided that we should not embarrass ourselves and our country by saying things like "Annyeong, can we take a photo with you?".

Later, while me and Jolene were boarding the MRT, we saw another member of the orchestra! OMG ISN'T HE FAMILIAR? He's from the TV show.. The international variety show that one!! He's the thailand guy!!!!!!!!!!

That means the orchestra is not made up of Koreans, and the cute guy we saw might actually be Singaporean, which means that we are dorks hahahahah. CUTE GUY ESCAPES.. AGAIN! :O

Stayed up late the previous night to do the glittery card! Haha!

I felt so happy playing with the glitter.. Used to buy tons of that powdery stuff in P school and throw it all about (and got tons of beatings for that hahaha :X)

The rest were setting up the stuff at the Barrage, so i was supposed to lure her away while they do so. Me the poor soul dragged her around Marina Sq and kept telling her rubbish like "oh Carmen can't make it.. Had to celebrate someone's birthday cause that someone is very close to her.." and "Jolene broke her arm while swimming in Eunos so she couldn't come today.." (SHE SUGGESTED THAT OK).

That happy BIRD! Still takes pretty much everything in her stride and happily allowed me to drag her around aimlessly -__-

I don't like being surrounded by too many people singing happy birthday to me :X Always felt very self-conscious throughout the entire song (WHICH MUST FOR SOME WEIRD REASON BE SUNG IN TWO LANGUAGES) and dunno what to do one please. so just nice that both of my aunts (who are also Dec babies) will share the thing with me. Teehee!

My talented cousin/jiejie baked the logcake herself. We got a second logcake from some bakery which was damn ex and it was not even as nice as hers!! (HAHA she was like pretending to be so touched from all of the compliments -_-)

Damn fun!!!!!!! haha but I can't really play such 3D games like CS or L4D cause I will get nauseous/giddy or a headache. I will never forget how I played CS in secondary sch with Van, Elizabeth and the ACS shooters and ended up holding the toilet sink for support 1 hr later. HAHA, or watching my cousin play Serious Sam and having no appetite for meals later on.

But this time the giddiness wasn't as bad. So maybe i should experiment more with these games and maybe I could get used to them hahahah!

WE ADJOURNED TO MIND'S CAFE~ originally we were thinking of going to Marc's Dad's Pub in Chinatown to chillax but due to unforeseen circumstances we changed to it Mind's Cafe!

We played some games which i cannot really remember now (x.x) but they were damn fun. There's a game where we have to write down whatever that comes to our mind that the card says. EVERYONE'S ANSWERS WERE DAMN WEIRD HAHA -- "What do you find in a garage?" and Liting's loud answer of "CAT'S POO"

After playing for quite a while we got the cake! LT and I were like trying to light the candles and the service crew are THE BEZZZZZZZZ OMG HEARTS. Damn nice and helpful!!!! and i keep huffing out the candles by mistake (then shaking with laughter with liting as we kept trying to relight those candles!)

Seoul'd Out 2009 @ Fort Canning Park!

WAS SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER EXCITED TO BE GOING THERE. Mainly because of BEG and FT Island. Like whooooop seeing them in real life is a chance that i won't want to pass up easily! :D

Met Hwee & her brother and we tried to walk to Fort Canning from Dhoby. Which was a MAJOR FAILURE so we cabbed in the end.

Finally settled down at some slope after meeting Hwee's brother's friend Lawrence. AND we got chased away as the security people decided to realign the entire queue. But our new place was better (on the pavement instead of the.. soil. So not really complaining :D)

haha sad, I was an SNSD anti-fan last year ^^ Only liked Seohyun and Taeyeon. The rest, couldn't really tell them apart, and (still) disliked Tiffany & Sunny with a vengeance. Sooyoung is.. haha I used to dislike her but after seeing her pwn Sunny in Intimate Notes i think she's cool :D

It was kinda funny, cause hanging out with real Sones are actually okay! Online ones are kinda fanatic. hahaha!

I like the atmosphere there. The entire queue was filled with mighty kpoppers!

All of them were either scribbling or making really nice banners (WHICH WILL GO ON TO OBSCURE OUR VIEWS LATER), watching Korean variety shows on their iPhones/iTouch (the number of iPhones/iTouch there = freaky), blasting kpop songs and singing along. OMG hearts!

We too were watching videos on Lawrence's iTouch.

FINALLY THE QUEUE IS MOVING HAHAHHAHA! Lots of media people swarming around and people in front who already entered were screaming their heads off! :/ Everyone's damn high even before entering the venue LOL.

DAMN LONG LAH! Night is falling fast and everyone's damn impatient. The screen next to the stage was playing videos of Korean stuff like Lee Minho (some cheering), Suju (SCREAMING), Dongbang (deafening screams)

And they kept blasting songs from the stage while letting us wait. Haha the entire crowd would get damn high and shout the lyrics EVEN THOUGH those songs are from the CDs! hahahaha damn cool! Esp Ring Ding Dong, they played it twice or thrice i think. The guys (yes guys) in front all put the \m/ sign in the air and waved during the "Rocka rocka rocka rocka rocka" part of the song. HAHAHAH

Then the host went up to say "ARE YOU READDYYYYYYYYYY? 5 MORE MINUTES!" or smth like that. And everyone went WILD. So we sat down and tolerated the repeated videos for a few more minutes.. 10 minutes.. 20 minutes.. half an hour..

Until nearly 1 hr plus later, when Lee Minho's video played YET AGAIN, everyone lost their patience and we just shouted "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" hahah! This didn't happen to DBSK and Suju's videos ^^ No matter how many times their videos will repeat, we will cheer for our boys!!!!!! HAHAHA!

She's really good omg LOVE HER VOICE!!!! Then Mario came up and spoke in rather good English, introducing themselves. Maybe because they know we know English or something, they sang 2 English mainstream songs ('Kiss me through the Phone' by Soulja Boy and 'Umbrella' by haha obviously Rihanna!). Everyone went high and screamed the lyrics with them.

Even though i don't watch it fully because I don't like Lee Junki, i watched SOME episodes and the OST is hell widespread kay! And it's sung by such a cute guy!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O

THIS IS WHERE THE CONDENSATION STARTS HAHAH. I didn't even realise my phone's camera lens were all clouded up from the humid surroundings. Everyone's sweating like mad and squeezed together. Kinda gross when you think about it haha, I initially had attributed the blurness to my lousy 5megapixs etc. It was only until the end when I noticed and wiped the lens that it became clearer.

T-MAX. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THEM. HAHA.

That is my opinion. And it didn't disappoint (: Not very interested in them either. Just politely waved and stuff. It was only when they sang the BOF OST "Almost Paradise" when the entire crowd started getting high. HAHAHA if not everyone would be just busy taking videos. Seriously one of the guys went to the edge, our side, and started booming "Jump! Jump! Jump! Jump!" into the mic but no one cared. The other side was more responsive i guess ;D

Oh btw one of the members of Tmax was the 4th member of F4 in BOF. Yawn

It's crazy, suddenly all the flags, banners, and cameras went up and your view of the stage is severely obscured. And the squeezing got WAY WORSE, got a couple of bloody rude girls kept shoving Hwee to one side! I kept glaring at them but i think they didn't realise. (Loser me)

It got hotter and the humidity in the air makes it stifling. But! :D haha it's alrighttttt

Condensation T_T

Thanks to my superior height (REALLY I AM NOT KIDDING, I'm quite a tall girl ;D) aided by my wedges (smart right, i thought it'll boost my height after gaining experience from the Fahrenheit incident), i managed to get a clear shot. There's a girl in front of me who had to use a tripod to take pictures, and she couldn't even see the entire performance with her own eyes because the people in front of her were kinda like a wall.

Guess who i was staring at throughout the performance!!!!!!

Previously i liked Hongki like mad crazy, but that was during Sec 3's Lovesick era. After Jaejin got his new hairstyle it was hopeless, my entire focal point for FT Island shifted. HAHA!

Because of my staring at Jaejin, i didn't really see much of Hongki and the rest :X hahaha then hwee told me about how Hongki got shocked by the fireworks when they sang Lovesick. I was busy feeling a huge wave of being touched (haha psycho right me!), cause Lovesick is the first song i've ever heard of FT Island and it was the BEST TRAGIC/EMO LOVE SONG! It hit me like a huge wave like WHAM! I didn't count on them singing Lovesick cause it's so old, maybe 'Bad Woman' or something for the encore that we kept screaming for.

Hehehehe if Jaejin looked at me while singing the song i'll probably burst out in tears and run like a mad psycho to the stage screaming "OPPA, OPPA!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!". LOL but sadly, and obviously he didn't and I remained in my frozen state.

FT Island left and everyone (mostly girls lah!) were like 'DON'T LEAVE! DON'T LEAVE!" haha! Now it's BEGs' turn to rock the house!!!!!!!!!

Sign was whoosh OMG. For FT Island and BEG, the crowd never stopped singing/shouting the lyrics out and waving the \m/ sign. haha once i see BEG in real life, I was S-T-U-N-N-E-D. Miryo was actually quite fluent in her English and i distinctly remembered she said something along the lines of "You know, it was really tough for us at first; we never thought we would be able to come so far to Singapore, to stand here and perform". AWWWWW everyone yelled "IT'S ALRIGHT" in Korean.

Korean pop concert for 2010, as the Hallyu wave grows ever larger in Singapore, i wish that they'll be cheaper and feature more artists. LG-sponsored Kpop Night '08 was virtually free with most of its tickets given away, featured such a variety of acts and it was held in the spacious Indoor Stadium; yet sadly there's plenty of empty seats.

My wish for 2010 is that i would be able to afford the tickets, cause if not, i would not be able to go ):

Must be below $100 lah! I'll count on the early bird tickets and all that, but what i'm scared of it that with so much demand, price will go way up. Sigh sadness!

Went for my secondary school's shooting club chalet a few days ago.. Haha..

The new batches of shooters.. So young! Some of the juniors I could still talk to, like those who are perhaps a year or two younger, cause i knew them from past camps. It's really heartwarming to catch up with these juniors again! Always so nice and joking about. & it's damn interesting to observe the younger ones running about~ Those times when we only cared about.. nothing? Haha! Age, age, age.

I came to the gathering with mixed feelings haha. I'm afraid ahmad ibrahim shooting club sometimes brings back really nice memories.. yet along with these memories came really bad ones. Those, I cannot forget no matter what; I've forgiven, but I've never forgotten. Felt really nice to be seeing Liyi! Haven't been seeing her in a while!!!!!!

Went to get some food/drinks/charcoal/ice/a-glimpse-of-john's-gf! HAHA

We bought the non-alcoholic drinks with really nice packaging! Liyi's got the same mindset as me towards drinking :D No alcohol!! I might considering lifting the self-imposed ban when I get a bf hahahahah!

We just holed up in a room for the rest of the night and took lots of photos. Maybe the drinks made us high haha, cause we did get a little high..

'O' days

Dong Bang Shin Ki, Gods of the Rising East.

I'll always remember the first song i've heard from them -- Hug. It was probably in Secondary Two when Wanting got all excited and made me listen to this song on her MP3.

Ever since then, I kept asking WT to send me their songs and listened to them along with my favourite artistes at that time (ie S.H.E, Fahrenheit LOL YEAH i was MAD over FAHRENHEIT HAHAHA etc). At that time generally no one else cared about Kpop, people were listening to cool mainstream Western music or trendy Mandopops.. But there's something incredibly sweet about this acapella group (that time they sang only acapella) and their voices. It was the kind of songs that a teenage girl could have and daydream about, you know? Haha it's all so loveydovey, sometimes i could listen to their songs on repeat for hours and hours.

They had their songs in 3 versions, sometimes 4. Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and sometimes English. Or they had the normal version OR the acapella version. HAHA so many versions of a song! Hahaa the chinese lyrics were also very sweet.. I remember i loved 'My Little Princess' like mad crazy that it's the song i could loop and loop and loop for all of its versions that i had on my phone.

Secondary Three, the video-mania started.
I was downloading their pictures and storing them in my computer like mad, and watching every single one of their videos posted online (from shaky fan cams to real HD ones). It was the year of 'O' - Jung, Ban, Hap. Whatever i did could not compare with WT, she bought like a 100GB hard drive and another similarly large one and she told me that she no longer had space to store any more photos. When i looked at her hard drives i was freaking out. She had different folders and THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of photos. My HD videos were also from her, cos i didn't know where to download it at that time.

I was just mainly breathing and listening to DBSK/BoA by the end of Sec 3.

Mainly just watched more dramas/performances/videos of DBSK (DBSK HOUSE VISIT (^^)\m/ can see their roomssssssss), trawled Soompi (deterred by the language T_T), SG's Cassiopeia. I remembered for JJ's birthday in Sec 4, the Singapore branch wanted to send a specially embossed book for his birthday on 26th Jan (my PW mate cindy's birthday too!!!); everyone had to pay $50 and only get to put photos and 'your message for JJ' in a space on each page which measured a few cm by a few cm. It's especially expensive cos the organiser said she's going to emboss the covers in United States and then bind the pages together, then send it to Korea. I was going really crazy cos i wanted to write a message to him too! T_T but no POSB card. Thank God for my lack of POSB card at that time or else i would have just sent the money over pls. Looking back $50 for such a tiny space was simply.....

Sometimes i really think that most of my secondary school days were spent in a really surreal way; forever dreaming of something impossible.

Big Bang entered my life in Secondary 4 with ??? ('Lies') and sadly, i stopped being so crazy about DBSK. It didn't help that i felt that DBSK was going on to doing faster songs which i always felt doesn't really suit them as much as acapella songs.. I didn't really put their new songs into my phone anymore but instead kept listening to the old ones.

For non-Kpoppers,
Dong Bang Shin Ki holds two Guinness World Records:
(2008) World's largest official fanclub, Cassiopeia (branches in MANY MANY countries), with 800,000 recorded fans in Korea alone. This is excluding non-official fans like me who didn't pay to join the club.
(2009) Most Photographed Celebrities in the world (appeared about 500 million times in magazines, books, album jackets etc).

& now, the lawsuit.
We always knew that SMTown had made its artistes sign 'slave' contracts with them, we know they allegedly used violence on their artistes (DBSK, Shinhwa controversies). But for the boys to sue SMTown, it must have taken a lot of courage for them to do so.. SMTown is an entertainment company in Korea fyi which held global auditions to seek out upcoming stars, and would train them and market them into superstars. DBSK came about like that, so did Superjunior, so did the rest. While they are not famous, they were to sign contracts which legally binds them to SMTown for years and years. DBSK has 13 years, Taeyeon of SNSD had 13 years as well. Obviously they'll sign it cos they want to make it, right?

SMTown should had seen it coming. The boys decided that they had enough of the 'inappropriate conduct' to them 'as humans' (alleged reports of them not being allowed to sleep or what until they perfected their rehearsals, beatings, etc) by the company and so they finally spoke out.

Meanwhile, on the same day (August 28th), DBSK fanclub Cassiopeia is showing support to their idol by submitting petition which is signed by approximately 121,073 people at 1:30 p.m to National Human Rights Commission. “DBSK members have been victims of serious human rights violation and now are seeking way to escape from it. We asked the help from National Human Rights Commission to give human rights protection for DBSK members through their court hearing.”

On last August 20th, Cassiopeia had already submitted their petition which was already signed on-line by 120,000 people from August 12th to 18th (six days) to Seoul Central District Court to support the terminate of unfair contract.

Immediately after the lawsuit, rumours were spreading that DBSK will not be allowed to perform, or continue due to the statement that SM had issued right after the lawsuit in retaliation. SMEntertainment had also released statements made supposedly by Yunho and Changmin (who didn't participate in the lawsuit) to seek to divide the group further.

We Cassiopeians are very disappointed in SME for holding press conference and releasing signed documents in the name of Yunho and Changmin. As the management company of DBSK, SME must not forget their job and must stop their actions intended to defame the members of DBSK and break the group apart. Also, according the the court ruling made on the 27th, SME must not make deals with third parties in the name of the three members and cannot interfere with individual works or those members. Please keep the court's order.

They started this lawsuit because of illegal contract length of 13 years. We fans do not understand why SME is silent about the issue of the contract length and is trying to focus everyone's attention on the cosmetics fiasco. The goal of this lawsuit was to nullify or edit contract between SME and the three members, and we believe that they did not intend to end DBSK or move onto another management company. Also, we would like to address to reporters who sensationalize and create rumours related to this press conference. Please be careful with your sources.

We would like to ask SME one more time to not make the three members' reputation and rights suffer with claims that have never been proven, and we would like to ask the citizens of Korea to stop creating rumours and defame DBSK. We would like to show our condolences toward this controversy.

Boo! Not dead yet. I just turned my sister into an Amy Winehouse wannabe-fail today. The reason why I'm not tweeting this and blogging it instead is because that Amy Winehouse wannabe-fail doesn't allow me to put it on twitter!!!!! Or take a picture of her. Muahaha!!!!!!

Actually I was practising my makeup skills on her. Watched some videos on youtube and thought I became a pro by doing that. HAHA evidently not pls, my sister looked like something out of Ju-on!!!!! Damn scary omg. I have this feeling she won't allow me to practise on her anymore T.T who wants to be my next guinea pig!!!! I can definitely do the winehouse eyelids with more practice!!!! :D

Speaking of my sister, I'm totally insulted by her. Me, LT and Cr couldn't solve this A levels question on cos rule today and my O levels sister solved it in like 10 mins. Gosh all of us fail!!!!!! HAH. Zzz! bah! okay shall go sleep already!!!!! Night!!!!

Going to Seoul'd Fest '09!!!!

It was rather a complicated business haha. The online booking on Sistic was only open on Wednesday 21st of October and I only knew of the festival like on the 20th. Haha panic attack!!!!! Cause early bird tickets are $20 cheaper.

So I went around calling everyone on my contact list who are Kpoppers!!!!

No one wanted to go with me upon hearing it only consisted of ft island and BEGs for 65 bucks. And as compared to last year, where I got free tickets to the LG concert (glued to the international radio station for hours) which consisted of more bigger names, it was definitely kinda quite 'not worth it'.

Hwee was the only one who said yes immediately!!!!! After a bit of hemming and hawing, we got someone to get us the online bookings :D -- her older bro, who'll be coming along to chaperone us heh.

Today was really beautiful. Aside from the lovely weather which hints of the upcoming wet December (incidentally my favourite month of the year :D), another awesome thing had happened!! Mum booked our tickets to Korea, an eight or seven day a skiing and shopping trip! Well this would be the first time I've ever experienced real snow in my 18th year of life. Sadly, it calls for certain sacrifices.. Haha can't have everything my way what right :D

Family trips used to be rare; only holidays in chalets in Singapore or to the neighbouring country, Malaysia. Mum would always tell us about how choosy we were as kids, and how me and my sister would always fight when we're young. Bringing us for our weekend swim at Safra had always been a great great battle: the preparations, the yelling to get everyone in order, making sure we are swimming safely and breaking up our fights whenever necessary. All that for a Sunday swim, she says. HAHA!! okay I remember I'd always fight with my sis!!!!! We were two crazy spitfires!!!!

So with our levels of maturity now, the amount of family trips are increasing in frequency and in geographical distance!!!!! (attempt to say a simple sentence chim-ly)

Well I've never thought I'll feel so sad to have to forgo prom, but i guess i could probably just do without it. it's such a hassle to book a common time for our family and I should not be an ungrateful brat haha. But why is our prom so early?!!!! 4th December would be the day I would arrive back in Singapore. just nice, hwee's last A levels paper :)

I was initially surprised by my enthusiasm for prom, cause you know la, I really dislike my school. but the thought of having a great time all dressed up with my pals really attracts me :( I love to dress up and look better just like any other girl too.. Normally I'd be too lazy and yeah not allowed to make up and wear nice clothes or what la, if there's no special occasion.. my dad and mum would really nag at me about the importance of being Au Naturale and not wearing makeup.

Being a vain person who also wishes that she could be pretty and not be such a noob at makeup, I would meticulously search for makeup tutorials in teenage magazines (read: Seventeen, Teenage..) and hope to glean some bit of skills that would potentially turn me into a Cinderella. (YES I KNOW, GAG, TOO AUNTIE TO BE A CINDERELLA RIGHT) Especially when the date for important events draw near..

Nevermind. Prom is in the school hall anyway. Geez.. EMBARRASSING!!!!!!

SIGH. normally prom would be fun and WELL I guess this would be fun too. but gosh no cute guys in school.. okay lo yeah a little no big deal lol lol.

TO MY FAMILY

I feel my days are numbered so I want to say all this while I still can. I pray to god no-one will ever have to read this but as death is all around me if it falls upon me you will understand my recent feelings on this madness we call life.

My views and outlook on life seems to be drastically changing recently. As many of you saw before I left when I quit drinking, I was just starting to live my life. Never have I felt as strong as I do about what I am doing here in Afghanistan is the right thing to be doing and is understood and accepted by god. As a result of that death is easier to accept.

Coming back over here again seemed more appealing than being in America surrounded by Americans that are more concerned about there next new car, new house, celebrity, ect. Than the threat to the way of life of the west that is so prevalent in the places I‘ve grown to accept as daily life. I hope one day there will be more Americans knowledgeable on the situation with terrorism in Afghanistan and how important it is that it’s destroyed.

Being back here in Afghanistan is exactly were I was supposed to be and where I wanted to be. I feel I’m doing more good over here than I was as an electrician. I knew exactly what I was doing when I re-enlisted Infantry I’m just sorry that you all have to suffer for it now.

For me to prepare myself to take life without hesitation has been a very difficult thing to do. To take away another woman’s son, husband, mans son, brother has always bothered me but through my eyes is understood by my god and I am forgiven. For the man that took my life more than likely for all he has known his whole life he feels the exact same way I do when he killed me. That is what scares me and I don’t think is understood by disappointingly a huge percentage of Americans.

I’ve always used the analogy if your told the color blue is green your whole life and someone tells you it’s actually blue they can give you all the facts in the world to prove it’s blue but at the end of the day it’s still green to you. The enemy were faced with is most of the time beyond words and it comes down to a sad but inevitable conclusion. We have to have young men that are willing to die to act on them and kill them before they can carry out any plans they have to kill innocent people because that is what they believe Allah wants, from distorted teachings of the Koran.

Know that you all are the reason I am here and to give my life for that is nothing to me. My love for every-one of you is what drives me and brings me comfort under stressful situations.

Carise let your child know of me and that even though I was never able to see he/she grow I love them more than they could imagine.

Situation: YW's older brother will only arrive in Singapore on the day of their cousin's wedding, so he requested YW to help him with buying some 'smart casual' clothes. So she dragged along Tuck Wai cos he happened to be around her brother's size. Tuck Wai became like the noisiest guy in the group when all of us thought he'll be damn quiet (cos everyone else was from Guitar Ensemble all that mah).

He's damn entertaining LOL LOL LOL.

And we kept trying to pair him off with YW MUAHAHAHHA!! DAMN FUN!!!

It was actually quite fun shopping and looking out for guy's clothes. But i did slip away a couple of times to indulge in a little shopping of my own lah haha!

Quite fun. I was wearing flats at first, but they sort of got spoilt, so i have to buy another pair of shoes. And i went to get like, this pair of chunky shoes; i think they are wedges. So at the end of the day -.- you can sort of guess the state of my legs. And the guys could even complain OMG!!!!

Guys can run marathons but they can't shop for a day without complaining haha. AND they are wearing sneakers. Goshhhh *shakes head*

It all started rather innocently.
Me and YW decided to bake some stuff on Saturday. Simple right!!!!

Then along came that idiot Tinghui who said he will bake better than us cause APPARENTLY, with me & YW's combined intelligence, we can't bake well.

Never mind the fact that he did not bake before, ever.

So we challenged him to a Bake-down!!!!!!

(& That idiot enlisted Jolene on his side!!!!!)

The judges would be eating our stuff on Monday. HAHAHHAHAHA!!
We are soooo look forward to kicking some butts (:

We did the strawberry cupcakes and melt-in-your-mouth cookies together at the same time hahah. But the strawberry cupcakes we ate all of them up....... HAHAH SO MONDAY WE'LL ONLY BE BRINGING THE COOKIES PEOPLE!

Today was Maths Prelims paper 2.

I was super LOOKING FORWARD to it!
Cause it's our school's tradition to set Math prelims JUST A LITTLE tough to test us. After it's over i realised that i MIGHT HAVE hope after all for As after all.
It was soooooooo AWESOMELY DO-ABLE!!!!!!!! OMG!!

Optimistically speaking, I think i'll score 10+/100 overall.
So much for prelims. So much for As.

The reason why i am blogging this/saving it as a draft later
is because i'm really really reaaaaaaaally going to go crazy if i continue to work on my new blog skin. It's driving me nuts but i think I'll be very proud of it when i finish - as it is with all of my other skins (even though they might not be considered something to be proud of to some).

I really should invest in Dreamweaver instead of poring over the html and debugging it when everytime goes wrong. Being a noobish CSS-writer, my codes are always messy and hastily done. There's loads of clumsy insertions, unnecessary codes everywhere!!!! A real nightmare; i bet there's tons of errors and whatnots. If you're an expert you'll probably rewrite my entire html in a more concise script.....

But then again i guess i don't really care CAUSE i want my end product IN Mozilla. Maybe i'll consider IE cos it's my phone's browser haha. For my viewing purposes!

I think with the amt of things we need to learn by A levels/Prelims, it's kind of hard to achieve really muchhhhhhhhhhhh.

Like i'm not really really very super ultra smart (i mean i do have some intelligence but still!) and i can't take one look at the qn and say "Chey easy" that kind. And teachers love to sprout things like "You can't even achieve a pass now (Econs) so you think you can get an A in a levels?"
So yeah a little, little pessimistic.

I WALKED over a mangled body of a bird today.
It was in the middle of the road,
its red lumpy flesh flattened,
smeared against the tar of the road to my left.

What made me realise that it was a bird was the hardened remaining crust of feathers, a (yellowish) pulverised skeleton and two relatively undamaged claws. That was all that was left of something happy, something free which used to soar in the air, whose only mistake was to land on the road to rest.

"A small thing you do will eventually have a big effect."

It cost the bird its life. It cost me so much more.

well today's a wonderful monday so i'll just try to type quickly and publish it maybe on other day!!!

Saturday May 10~

Wanted to 'study' with hwee and yx.
Then when we reached her house, we realised that all of us were actually not planning to study at all. LOL so we played a little bit of Restaurant City (whiling time away) before a sudden "ehh wanna go partyworld not?!".

Gone case already. Everyone just jumped up and agreed LOL. BUT the time was nearly 3pm so we frantically packed up, BRISK WALKED (i hate running) in the sweltering heat, and hailed a cab to Yishun SAFRA. AND I LOST MY EZLINK CARD IN THE PROCESS. And what's more annoying is that the place's fully booked till 6pm - me and hwee definitely couldn't make it cos it'll mean we leave at 10pm.

So we decided to persevere with our Partyworld dreams. Maybe we'll just sing emo songs the whole session. ): ): ): Walked to take an MRT (GOSH A SINGLE TRIP COSTS $2.40 WTS) and we ended up at Partyworld@Civics Centre.......... WHICH WAS ALSO FULLY BOOKED.

Could have seen our faces then. Esp mine. Black as thunder.

Actually it's supposed to be a buffet-ing outing with her and linglan. But our school locked up the gates at 11.30am (when our classes end at 2.00pm lol) and they got the security guards to patrol around the school - out of their great love for us, so that we won't try to risk their lives climbing over the barbed wire on top of the fence around the entire parameter of our school just to skip an event that they've painstakingly organised for us. [/sarcasm]

I know my school's not all that bad.
But sometimes they overdo some stuff and no, sorry, can't really accept. I think i shall keep quiet or else i won't finish this post!!!!

We went to a trail hidden in Venus Drive in Thomson.

Quite an experience hahah it was really slippery climbing down into the stream!
And weeks before this we got really excited, thinking we're going to some RIVER. Till Ms Yeo told us that we are going to a STREAM, and the width is probably about a metre.

I'm now at SAFRA's bowling centre, trying to do my economics presentation. Great reccomendation from TYX! This is definitely my latest favourite studying place. I can envision myself studying here from now onwards. That is, if i am disciplined enough to continue studying.

Haven't been updating for very long (technically, cos i've never posted my posts YET)..
Well we had our Guitar SYF today (Apr 28, i posted after midnight -.-) and we got.. the same as HCJC, AJC, SAJC..

We got bronze.

For me, i don't really mind a bronze, cos i've never been in a SYF competition before. Bronze, silver, gold.. I got none of them before. So bronze is okay for me. But obviously we felt quite shocked, cos we were expecting at least a silver to maintain. ): The higher your expectations, the higher you fall indeed. We did make history, but not in the good way. We are the first batch to break out of the Silver-award chain.. and get a bronze.

It sure sounds lousy when you compare with the past results, as well as the fact that all the other ccas managed to get a silver at the very least even though they do not have as much support our cca had from the school. But the alumni sort of cheered us up later, cos they pointed out that we did, well, play well. Look at AJC, they played so well and they got a bronze. Must be shocking for them too.. Sigh.

It's got more to do with the fact that the bar has been raised. Three out of four adjucators were changed - which means what was previously required by the previous judges are no longer really what they were looking for. Which pretty much sucked, cos we practised for our showmanship only to be told that what is seen is not really important. & there's no G/honours (only two golds for AC and MJ) this year for JC level as compared to last year, where everyone got at least a silver. I guess many ensembles are feeling sad too ):

Actually i thought about it. The times i've spent practising for the SYF had actually been a truly amazing experience. I made new friends, know my cca friends better, and had tons of fun/laughter and Wondergirls ;). I know how to play the guitar now (still very beginner though), as compared to one year ago? & YES I FINALLY KNOW THE EXPERIENCE OF BEING IN SYF. (:

So thank you for giving me that experience.

Jolene, for being the crappy girl who cheers everyone up. She's the one who doesn't mind making a total fool out of herself just to bring a smile to others' faces & the one who make sures you get prepared for the SYF stuff (she's in the welfare exco)/the one who gels the juniors and seniors, as well as the one who runs around singing Kr songs with me & Daniel-dongsaeng. Really couldn't do without you, my F4 friend! HAHA..

Yiwen & Carmen, for being the nice girlfriends in guitar/the other two members of the F4 :D Yiwen don't be so fierce okay!!! (But then she's Domuoyouji -.-) Spending so much time together.. Omg i remember i used to experience lots of difficulty in remembering Carmen's name. To actually progress to i'm-your-good-pal-girl!, is pretty much a cool thing to happen. HAHA. Laughing/gossiping/bitching, generally helping me out in many ways - WHAT CAN I DO WITHOUT MY F4 GUITAR FRIENDS?!

Tinghui & Shafiq, (: (:! Shafiq i suspect the reason why i'm thanking you is that you know how to play "I'm Yours". HAHAHA kidding la of cos it's much more than that! Haiyo see, one is my gf's bf, one is my friend from Cambodia trip even though he always MIA for our dinners-after-practise. Pro in guitar lah. Kidnap any of them and we'll just get a C.O.P lol. Kidnap both and we might get kicked out. OK WE'RE NOT THAT LOUSY LA.

Steph & BH, for being funny. Idk why, but i think BH is damn funny even though it might be unintentional (eg he talks about something perfectly normal/not funny. I laugh like mad for the next few mins.) & Steph for being there and laughing with me at times - it's bound to be weird when everyone's not laughing.. (STILL GOT STEPH!)

Juniors (Samuel, Kai Sheng, JJ, Germaine, Manna, Simyi, Daniel, Sohwon), for being the friendly juniors. It's great knowing/playing with you guys and STUDY HARD OK! It's really been fun haha. (:

eh don't forget the super-impt ones, The Alumni, (: Rushing back to help us = paul qr and samuel (another one). Without their help, we don't even think of joining SYF ok. Learning the pieces and Paul's conducting..... haha thankfully we have our alumni!

I'll miss you guys after our Post-SYF concert, when we will be too busy mugging to go out. Haha, but we could always meet for KTV *winks winks*
